KIBO—Hong Kong’s Chic Eco Kicks

Derived from the Japanese word Hope, KIBO is all about second chances. And stylish trainers that do as much good for the planet, as they do for your fashion cred.

A simple pair of white trainers adds edge to an outfit in a flash. From vibrant long floral dresses to an all black suit, they know no fashion limits. And the only thing better than merging style and comfort is adding an element of sustainability, and that’s where KIBO’s upcycled trainers hit the sweet spot.

Made with recycled leather, post-consumer plastics, natural materials such as cork and rubber, and other sustainable materials, KIBO wants to give waste new hope.

KIBO’s co-founders Natalie and Simon bring their combined fashion and manufacturing expertise in a company committed to ethical supply chains, sustainable materials, and to giving back to the community. With over 10 years of experience in the beauty and fashion industry, Natalie ensures that the design reflects quality and purpose. Meanwhile, Simon’s family background in footwear manufacturing has given him 50 years of first-hand insights into the waste produced from raw materials to dead stock.

“I was determined to minimise waste, so Natalie and I decided to start a brand that was different. A brand whose products weren't just for show, but had real purpose and made a positive impact on the planet and its people” says Simon.

Sleek and minimalist and available in both men’s and women’s sizes, every pair of KIBO trainers recycle five post-consumer plastic bottles, including the shoelaces! Recycled Leather, derived from discarded leather trimmings, ensure the premium look and feel of genuine leather while the recycled natural rubber compound sole offers both durability and comfort.

KIBO donates a part of its profits to its impact partners, instilling hope in underserved communities. For each pair of shoes sold, a portion of the proceeds goes to Compassion First, a non-profit organization that fights human trafficking.

Putting style, sustainability and compassion on the right footing.
