January Beauty Roundup: 5 Beauty Products You Need for Hong Kong’s Winter Season

As the city gets colder and drier, here are the five beauty products you need this winter.

While Hong Kong is hot and humid almost year round, there are a couple of winter months from December to March that if unprepared, can potentially wreak havoc on your complexion. While you shouldn’t feel you need to do a complete beauty overhaul, dermatologists do recommend that you pay closer attention to how your skin is reacting in different environments and make simple changes to help your skin adapt. This could be using a gentler face cleanser, incorporating a richer night moisturiser or avoiding potentially irritating ingredients such as vitamin C or retinoids.

If you are choosing to swap out your lotions for a richer cream, Dr Justine Hextall, consultant dermatologist on behalf of The Harley Medical Group, recommends also massaging the cream into your skin for 30 seconds to help maximise its effects.

So if you’re looking to beat that winter dryness and redness, read below to see five beauty products you should try out this season.
