Dive Into a Wild Romance with The Floristry

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the homegrown florist unveils an exclusive bouquet that pays homage to the exuberant, all-consuming nature of young love.

Known for their raw yet delicately thoughtful flower arrangements that always manage to capture the mood du jour, it’s hard to believe that homegrown florist The Floristry was only founded in 2017 (it also opened its first retail space on the quaint corner of Gough Street in 2021). It has since risen to become one of Hong Kong’s most beloved go-to places for all things florals.

To mark the upcoming Valentine’s Day, the lifestyle brand has unveiled an exclusive new bouquet, Wild Hearts, an ode not only to this season’s romantic mood but also to the ever-consuming passion, allure and anticipation of first loves.

The statement bouquet (which comes in hessian fabric, a versatile glass vase, or as part of a gift set complete with chocolates and candles) is a sight to behold: a rich tapestry of handpicked seasonal flowers in fiery reds, blush pinks and bursts of apricot intermingle with delicate green stems and eucalyptus branches—each symbolising a uniquely nuanced emotion to create a time capsule of fleeting moments. It’s sure to make any receiver’s heart skip a beat—whether it be for carefree lovers embarking into the unknown or those yearning to relive the enticing first stages of romance.

To accompany the limited edition The Valentine’s Day collection, the brand shot a cinematic short film that follows a young couple through the ups and downs of love set against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s city lights: iconic bridges, underground tunnels, rustic walk-ups, gas stations and far-stretching mountains from the crack of dawn to sparkling golden hour—evoking the unshakable, all-consuming nature of young love. 

The Floristry is known to draw inspiration from the natural elements—from flowers and foliage and the moon and sun cycles, to how the wild is depicted within art and literature—and this special bouquet is no different. ‘We believe nature should be interwoven into our everyday life and flowers not just reserved for special occasions,” explains a spokesperson of the brand.  

In addition to bouquets, the brand also offers a curated collection of lifestyle objects—from natural wax candles to soap bars and lush woven throws—all with an emphasis on bringing elements of nature to our homes and lives. Check out their new collection of home fragrance and homeware as well as a coffee shop and installation space in their Gough Street location, where a roster of experiential floral workshops and wild-inspired events will be on offer from early 2022 onwards.
